Sandya Institute presented The Awarding of Humanity Awards for the two professor of Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Maria Farida Indrati, S.H., M.H., and Prof. Dr. Sulistyowati Irianto, S.H.,MA., the professor of Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia.
In commemorating the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, 21 March 2019 and the International Day for the Right to the Truth Concerning Gross Human Rights Violations and for the Dignity of Victims, 24 March 2019, Sandya Institute was held an international forum regarding the protection of minority rights
The international forum aims to amplify our spirit in achieving a more humane society that lives harmoniously in peace. The event will also highlight the achievements made by outstanding experts in promoting the humanity value in their respective field.
The assessment of the awards are based on the quality and consistency of the works as well as level of influence that have been made. The Humanity Awards by Sandya Institute are given to :
- Prof. Dr. Maria Farida Indrati, S.H., M.H., the Professor of the Science of Legislation at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia and the Former Indonesian First Female Justice.
- Prof. Franz Magnis Suseno, SJ, Indonesian Religious Scholar and the Head of Driyarkara School of Philosophy Postgraduate Program.
- Prof. Dr. Hj. Siti Musdah Mulia, MA. Indonesian Religious Scholar and the Secretary General of the Indonesian Conference on Religion and Peace.
- Prof. Dr. Sulistyowati Irianto, S.H.,MA., Professor of Legal Anthropology of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia.
