UI Received Several Awards at the SINTA Awards 2018
Wednesday (4/7/2018) Universitas Indonesia (UI) received several awards in the Science and Technology Index (SINTA AWARD) held at Building D Auditorium, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education Building, Central Jakarta.
SINTA Award is given for 3 major categories, namely research and development institutions/universities, individual researchers, and journal managers. Here’s a complete list of awards received by UI:
- The First Winner of the Institution with the Highest Publication Productivity in the category of State University of Legal Entity (Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Berbadan Hukum—PTN-BH).
- The Third Winner of the Institution with the Highest Publication Productivity in the general category.
- Author with the highest number of publications from 2016-2018 in the category of PTN-BH on behalf of Indah Suci Widyahening (second winner) and Rosari Saleh (fifth winner).
- The Fourth Winner of Journal Rank Category Sinta 2 for Jurnal Akuntansi dan Keuangan Indonesia (the Indonesian Accounting and Finance Journal) published by the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Economics and Business.
- The Fifth Winner Journal Rank Category Sinta 2 for Makara Journal of Health Research published by Universitas Indonesia.
This award was received directly by UI Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Anis, M.Met. He said that this award should not make UI feel content.
“UI must continue to improve its efforts to keep our scientific research work continuously growing while maintaining in terms of quality, so we can become better in the future,” he said.
Mohamad Nasir (Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education) said that the award is given to lecturers, researchers, institutions and journal managers who have shown real achievements in the improvement of publications and scientific journals.
“We hope that this appreciation can trigger more scientific research and journal work produced by our academics,” Nasir said in his speech.
SINTA Award this year assessed more than 4000 institutions from all over Indonesia that are recorded in SINTA system of Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. SINTA is an index system created by Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education to facilitate the collection of publications and works of lecturers, researchers, institutions and journals in Indonesia.
