UI Delegation Won 4 Awards from NTUMUN 2018
Universitas Indonesia (UI) brought home 4 awards in Nanyang Technological Model United Nations (NTUMUN) 2018, on 23-25 February 2018 in Singapore.
The awards achieved were Honorable Mention for Heru Annas Syahdio (Faculty of Law, 2017), Best Position Paper Award for Delstin Natalia Parinding (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, 2016), Verbal Commendation for Thea Mutiara Khalifa (Faculty of Law, 2017) and Verbal Commendation for Dara Risczka Rosdianty (Faculty of Public Health, 2015). The Honorable Mention is equal to the 3rd winner of the total participants, and Verbal Commendation is equivalent to 4th winner. In addition, Best Position Paper is the best press release award from a country before the committee session. The United Nations model is a simulation of United Nations sessions, followed by students from all over the world. In each trial simulation there are several committees that address specific issues.
Each committee has 6 sessions to discuss 2 topics that have been given. Each delegate is expected to be a representation of each country they represent and then produce a resolution on the concerned topic.
There are delegations from top schools and universities in the race, including Raffles Institution, Nanyang Technological University, National University of Singapore.
In addition to those four students, UI also sent 5 other delegates to this NTUMUN event, namely Amal Adiguna (Faculty of Computer Science, 2017), Cut Naifa Ufaira Polem (Faculty of Law, 2017), Febe Monika (Faculty of Engineering, 2017) Gifary Yusuf Bachtiar (Faculty of Economics and Business), and Namira Suniaprita (Faculty of Economics and Business, 2015)
