Public Lecture on “Recognition of Reservation Forests as a Form of Rights Restoration: Opportunities, Challenges, and the Role of Legal Scholars”
The Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia in collaboration with the Association of HUMA Indonesia held a Public Lecture on “Recognition of Reservation Forests as a Form of Rights Restoration: Opportunities, Challenges, and the Role of Legal Scholars” on November 1, 2018, in Room C-403 FHUI, UI Depok Campus.
The public lecture invited two speakers, namely Prof. Dr. Dra. Sulistyowati Irianto, MA. (Professor of FHUI) who explained the role of campus in encouraging recognition, respect and protection of the rights of indigenous people and Dr. Ir. Ilyas Asaad, MP, MH. (Inspector General of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry) explained the history of adat recognition, achievement of the determination of customary forests, problems and challenges in the future.
