National Round Result of Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition
FHUI’s Jessup Team presented National Round Champion Cup Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court to Dean Prof. Melda Kamil Ariadno, SH, LL. M., Ph. D. In the Dean Office (22/02) FHUI, Depok Campus.
The FHUI Jessup team represented by Aldwin Wijaya (FH’14), Albertus J Sukardi (FH’15), Denny Adiputra (FH’15), Febri Ariadi (FH’15), and Michael Amos Djohan (FH’16) in addition to winning the National Round, the FHUI Jessup Team also received 1st Best Memorial, 1st in Preliminary Rounds and Best Speaker in Final Round. This victory was the 12th victory that the FHUI Jessup Team managed to achieve.
As in previous years, FHUI team received coaching and training from fellow FHUI alumni of International Law Moot Court Society (ILMS), such as Farah Nabila (FH’11), Greita Anggraeni (FH’12), and Howard J. Tigris (FH’13). ILMS annually organizes internal selection to select team members who will represent FHUI in the Jessup competition. Students elected to the team will be intensively trained for six months to receive coaching and training by legal practitioners and FHUI alumni. Through the ILMS, FHUI provides many contributions in the form of facilities and financial support. In addition, lecturers who teach International Law also provide training and accompany the team to Washington, DC.
With this victory, FHUI Jessup Team got the chance to represent Indonesia in the event of Philip C. Jessup Cup International Round next April in Washington DC, USA.
