General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is seen as a solution to the protection of public data on the internet, thus encouraging data controllers (such as social media) to be more vigilant to protect data belonging to data subjects (users).
The Data Privacy rules implemented to all companies in the world that store, process or process personal data of EU residents is aimed to provide better protection of data privacy in today’s digital economy by providing greater flexibility for individuals to their data and give stricter rules to those who manage or keep them. This rule will be effective on May 25, 2018 worldwide.
The GDPR Terms apply to each EU member state, which aims to create more consistent protection of consumer and personal data across the EU countries.
