Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia hosted the National Meeting of the Cooperation Agency for the Dean of the Faculty of Law of Universities in Indonesia that held on Thursday – Friday (28/29) at Margo Hotel and Faculty of Law UI, Depok. This meeting aims to respond and anticipate the rapid development of society, especially in the 4.0 industrial revolution. Also, this meeting discusses the formulation of a law education curriculum in Indonesia and recommendations from various existing elements.
This national meeting attended by 40 public universities in Indonesia. The event opened by a remark from Head of BKSD, Prof. Dr. Farida Patittingi S.H., M.Hum. She said in her remark, she wants the Indonesian Law Faculty to adjust to the current conditions in the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0. That reasons
The same thing also said by Prof. Dr. Ade Maman Suherman S.H., M.Sc., the professor of the Dean of Faculty of Law, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. the impetus for a changing era that is increasingly rapid needs serious attention from stakeholders such as the law campus. “People have changed, we need to response the trend, is it already in our curriculum or yet,” he said as one of the steering committees.
Another steering committee member, The Dean of FHUI, Dr. Edmon Makarim, S.Kom., S.H., LL.M., also responded to the problem by saying “It seems like our curriculum did not prepare for the practice industry. In fact, there are many practice subjects.”
