Friday, January 27, 2017 – International Law Department of Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia (FHUI) held a Training for Trainers on International Investment Arbitration and Asset Recovery on Monday (23/1) at Olympic Renotel Hotel, Sentul.
International investment Arbitration and asset recovery are two topics in a transnational law involving Indonesian law in practice. To promote understanding and preparing trainers on international investment arbitration and asset recovery, and FHUI Universiteit Leiden conducted Training of Trainers on International Investment Arbitration and Asset Recovery on 23 to 25 January 2016 at Renotel Olympic Hotel, Sentul.
This training was delivered by speakers from Universiteit Leiden Prof. Dr. Eric de Brabandere and Dr. Pinar Olcer. Participants of the training came from FHUI lecturers in related fields, representatives of the ministries / state institutions, law firms, as well as civil society organizations from the respective the field.
This activity is part of cooperation between the Netherlands and Indonesia in the framework of The Netherlands Initiative for Capacity development in Higher Education (NICHE) Project, which has been running since 2015.
In addition to providing reinforcement materials, this training introduced UI as the Center of Excellence in both areas to connect experts and other stakeholders. One of the benefits of this training is that it can lead to further connectivity and synergy between relevant stakeholders related to both issues.
