Overview
Law has become a vital instrument to bridge national and transborder business transactions and resolve legal disputes. It can also serve as a basis or reference for contract drafting or implementation of a business or commercial activities. In order to optimize the application and implementation of laws to regulate and bridge the needs of business transactions or activities, law students need to have a comprehensive understanding and legal knowledge not only about legal theory but also its applications on real practices.
Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia, is pleased to welcome you to join the International Undergraduate Program (IUP). This program is specially designed to nurture undergraduate students so they will possess strong competence in international business law, and prepare them to have the proficient capability in serving as legal professionals once they graduated. To support their studies, students will study from our extensive collections of comprehensive jurisprudence, theories of laws, and practical skills training on contract drafting, negotiation, diplomacy. Legal procedural skills are instilled to students through moot-court simulations.
Lecture activities are delivered by professors and teaching staffs who are experts on their respective field of studies, as well as combinations of academicians and practitioners both from Indonesia and abroad. Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia also cooperates with a number of partner universities and/ or law schools around the world, to provide students with opportunities of students exchange and study abroad programs. Our partner universities include Utrecht University, University of Groningen, Erasmus University Rotterdam and Leiden University in the Netherlands, National University of Singapore and University of Technology Sidney, Australia.
Education Scheme
The degree of Bachelor or Laws (Sarjana Hukum—S.H.) will be awarded to students who complete the program with minimum of 144 credits. To collect all of the required credits, students need to take classes from Faculty’s core compulsory curriculum and elective courses. IUP students are also able to transfer their credits obtained through student exchange or study abroad program in our partner universities during their studies in IUP. Normally, students finish their program in 8 to 12 semesters. The language of instructions in the IUP is English. However, in order to obtain a comprehensive command in Indonesian Laws, Bahasa Indonesia is also required for studying legislative and other legal materials that are only available in Bahasa Indonesia; as well as to practice Indonesia’s moot court simulations.

Student Admission Requirements
Prospective students from Indonesia as well as international prospective students from other countries are eligible to apply for International Undergraduate Program Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia with the following requirements.
Prospective students must be graduated at least from Senior High School or its equivalent education.
ITP/ international TOEFL with minimum score of 530 (PBT); 71 (IBT); or minimum IELTS score of 5,5 (prediction scores are not accepted);
ITP/ international TOEFL with minimum score of 550 (PBT); 80 (IBT); or minimum IELTS score of 6 (prediction scores not accepted).
International applicants from English speaking countries or who obtained their High School certificate of graduation or received their first degree in English speaking countries may request a waiver of this requirement.

Interview
Indonesian Applicants who have passed the Talent Scouting or SIMAK UI KKI, and International Applicants who have passed the administrative screening will be invited to interview by the Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia. Final decision regarding students’ acceptance will be announced based on the interview result.

Student’s Exchange Program Opportunities for Overseas Study Experience
IUP students may take part in an exchange program or study abroad at IUP’s partner universities for 1 to 2 semesters, subject to the faculty’s recommendation. The credits obtained from the exchange program can be transferred to the IUP’s curriculum; provided that the classes of which the obtained credits are in line with the IUP’s core curriculum. Partner universities include: Erasmus University Rotterdam, Leiden University, and University of Groningen in the Netherlands, National University of Singapore in Singapore, and Kobe University in Japan.
Students may contact IUP’s secretariat for more information regarding the available student exchange program and the requirements for application (students will need to prepare their International TOEFL/ITP or IELTS certificate).
1. Kobe University
As our partner university, Kobe University offers Student Exchange Program to IUP students from Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia. The students will experience the learning culture in the oldest and largest national university in Japan. Kobe University has been a host for around 1,000 international students from 81 countries and regions. Students will be able take various law courses offered by the faculty, and also encouraged to develop their Japanese Language skills through direct engagement in Japanese social and cultural environment. 2. National University of Singapore
Students may elect to participate in student exchange program in National University of Singapore, the oldest and largest university in the Singapore. The National University of Singapore (NUS) offers an opportunity for IUP students to join the Student Exchange Program (SEP). The NUS Faculty of Law has been a host for over 120 exchange students each year who study alongside the NUS students. Students can take various courses offered, whether the compulsory subjects, or elective courses. The elective courses comprise the topics of: Asian Legal Studies and Comparative Law, Commercial Law, IP and Technology, Law and Society, Maritime Law, Public and Private International Law, and many more.

3. Leiden University
Leiden Law School welcomes visiting students from all over the world. IUP students may join the exchange program in the best university in Continental Europe for Arts and Humanities.
