Socialization of Anti-Corruption Education for Universities
The Indonesian Judicial Monitoring Society (MaPPI) of Universitas Indonesia’s Faculty of Law in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), organized a Socialization of Anti-Corruption Education for Universities on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, in the Multimedia Room of S & T FHUI, UI Depok Campus.
In Indonesia, the phenomenon of corruption is still rampant in various levels. Corruption becomes serious problems that cause negative culture in the community. Not only Corruption, Collusion, and Nepotism is also flourishing.
In her opening speech, the Dean of FHUI Prof. Melda Kamil Ariadno, SH, LL.M., Ph.D. said that Corruption, Collusion and Nepotism in Indonesia had been developing in the community for a long time, but Indonesia should not recognize and not accept Corruption, Collusion and Nepotism to be a bad culture. Therefore, universities, in this case, play an important role to be the key to character building for students before students enter the community directly.
In addition, a University is the center of the academic movement to eradicate corruption and encourage corruption eradication movements both locally and nationally.
This socialization presented three speakers, namely the Vice Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs as well as the Drafting Team of the FHUI Curriculum Dr. R. Ismala Dewi, SH, MH, Director of Dikyanmas KPK Giri Suprapdiono and a MaPPI researcher, Maeyriza Violyta.
